Front Page Carousel
The carousel on the front page is built on a Featured Slides custom post type. The user sets the featured image and title text with standard WordPress functionality. As an added bonus, a user may add text that displays on a hover. By adding top and left absolute positions and text in custom meta fields of the Featured Slide post, a small black circle with a pink outline is displayed with a popover display on hover.
The slide navigation below the hero image displays a gray line that grows with the duration of the slide and a thumbnail preview of the next slide when its corresponding navigational bullet is hovered.
