Ok… I'm hoping I can get the help of a WP genius to help me sort through a UI issue.

Referencing what I have now:

The problem is, what I have is clunky. Once I get down to the specific event, the link to the event title goes away… it's just not right.

So, I thought… maybe I could use post types for this. A post type of event… but then, I get lost in the concept.

How can I use post types, categories and/or taxonomies to display a hierarchy of events and details of that event.

First page is a list of events with title and summary

The event detail needs to have it's own sub-nav with each link it's own page under the Event title.

Does anyone have an idea of how to handle this better than I've done? I'm REALLY hoping so.
