NextGEN Public Uploader

The NextGEN Public Uploader is an extension plugin for the NextGEN Gallery plugin that allows frontend image uploading for your users. All images uploaded by your visitors must be moderated before being displayed in your NextGen Gallery.
Gallery Public Upload Form

Installation:
1. Upload the nextgen-public-uploader folder to the plugins directory in your WordPress or WPMU installation
2. Activate the plugin
3. Click on the “Gallery: Uploader” at the bottom of your admin menu.
4. Add the shortcode [ngg_uploader id=1] (Where 1 is the ID of the gallery you want to upload images to) directly in your post/page where you want the image upload form to display.

That’s it! Any visitor that is logged into your website will be allowed to upload an image to the gallery you specify. Images uploaded are set to EXCLUDE by default so they are NOT automatically shown in your gallery. You must uncheck EXCLUDE and save for the image to appear.

Remember: You MUST have the NextGen Gallery plugin activated for this plugin to work.

Thinking Outside the Box

One of the great things about WordPress is how it can be customized to fit the needs of anyone.  No matter what your website is or the functionality you require, WordPress (with the help of  its talented community of developers) can provide it for you!

We recently worked with Michael Corwin on his new photography website, MobbedMusic and we think this is a great example of just how versatile WordPress is!  Michael was looking to create a website with functionality similar to that of TasteSpotting.com, but with a focus on music and concert photographers and connecting photographers with fans, artists and industry professionals.  Instead of the “normal” content of posts and comments, Mobbed Music allows the user to upload images and vote for their favorites.

To design MobbedMusic we started with the WooTheme theme shown below.  We then customized it to fit the desires of our client.  If you’re looking for a website that’s “outside the box” contact us today!
