Update Twitter From Your Identi.ca Account

Below is a fun tool we built that will post Identi.ca updates to your Twitter account automatically! The first update will only grab your latest Identi.ca update. After that all updates will be parsed and posted to Twitter every few minutes!

Your account information is safe. We are using the same encryption methods as we did for SnapFoo, which means no one can decrypt your password, not even us.

To deactivate your updates simply fill out the form again with the same information as before. When your password is verified your account will become deactivated.

We’ll keep this online and running until Identi.ca (Laconica) or Twitter builds this feature into their core. Our money is on Laconica!

This is a beta so please report any bugs to @williamsba. Thanks!

Why build this?

At WebDevStudios, we believe in open source and the benefit it can provide to the development community and internet as a whole. We wanted to create a simple application that would help the web evolve, even if just the tiniest amount! And of course we get to showcase our talents and abilities as a development company while doing so!

Dave Winer wrote a great quote on his blog last month that sums it all up:

To understand where we’re at, remember that software is a process, you can’t judge it by where it is today, you have start with that, and judge how it’s evolving…

The web is evolving! Here at WebDevStudios, we understand that and are helping for a better internet tomorrow!

If you can dream it, we can build it! Give us a call at 732.749.9546 or contact us to discuss your ideas and how WebDevStudios can help you today!
