Megan Gordon is a writer and food blogger from the San Fransisco Bay area.  A Sweet Spoonful was born from a passion for spending time in the kitchen and writing about it.  The website highlights Megan’s interests and culinary adventures as well as recipes from her personal collection.

Megan was looking to migrate her website to WordPress and create an updated and professional look for the A Sweet Spoonful website. Previously A Sweet Spoonful was powered by Blogger.com and Megan was looking to move over to WordPress, where she would benefit from having more control over the functionality of their website. We imported all of her content into the new site and took advantage of some fun new features such as the WordPress 2.9 post thumbnails feature, creating a widget for her sidebar and a word cloud that highlights recipe ingredients. We also created a custom taxonomy in WordPress so Megan could easily load in ingredients for her recipes.
