| Matt Armendariz is a self-proclaimed “man obsessed with food, drink, and everything in between.” He began his blog in 2005 as a way to share all the stories and moments he experienced in his 18 years in the food business. One of the charter members of Martha’s Circle, Matt is recongnized throughout the industry for his contributions and expertise.
Matt was looking to migrate his food blog to WordPress where he would have more control over the functionality of his website than the previous website powered by TypePad.com. We exported all of Matt’s posts, categories, tags, and comments and imported them into a new installation of WordPress. Matt also wanted to use the popular WordPress Thesis theme, which we setup and configured for his new site. With WordPress, Matt now has the flexibility to do anything he wants on his blog without limitations from 3rd party blogging websites.

Thinking Outside the Box

We recently worked with Michael Corwin on his new photography website, MobbedMusic and we think this is a great example of just how versatile WordPress is! Michael was looking to create a website with functionality similar to that of TasteSpotting.com, but with a focus on music and concert photographers and connecting photographers with fans, artists and industry professionals. Instead of the “normal” content of posts and comments, Mobbed Music allows the user to upload images and vote for their favorites.
To design MobbedMusic we started with the WooTheme theme shown below. We then customized it to fit the desires of our client. If you’re looking for a website that’s “outside the box” contact us today!
