Jeremy Ward is a Senior Backend Engineer at WebDevStudios (WDS). In his role, he is responsible for developing and maintaining a broad array of features across varied client environments. A proponent of continuous education, Jeremy frequently leads development-related discussions at WDS and advocates for the adoption of tools and best practices to streamline developer workflows. He has brought his attention to detail and client-centered approach and to a variety of projects for Viacom, Microsoft, Campbell’s, and more.
Jeremy began his development career in 2003 when he learned to build static websites to promote bands in which he and his friends played. Eager to learn more about the fundamentals of programming, he enrolled in his local community college and subsequently earned an Associate of Science in Computer Programming with an emphasis in Web Development from St. Paul College in 2013. Since then, he has spoken at a few local WordCamp and tech-focused conferences and meetups, and has helped organize and attended many others. Jeremy joined WebDevStudios in March 2017.
When he’s not geeking out about software development, Jeremy enjoys playing board games with his friends, catching an occasional Minnesota Wild game, spending time with his partner Abby and their cat, Flip, or sampling the latest offerings at his neighborhood breweries.
