Featuring a gamut of topics about the power of WordPress, WordCamp Chicago takes place this weekend. Our own Frontend Developer, Allison Tarr, will be there presenting “Be the Loop You Want to See in the World,” where she will demystify the boundaries of The Loop and explain how to expand its limits. She will also define what The Loop is, as well as offer creative possibilities for customizing data retrieved through the use of WP_Query.
Aside from sharing her WordPress expertise, Allison is also looking forward to attending “Being a Good Citizen in the WordPress Community.” While this is not her first adventure in the Windy City, she is hoping to explore Pilsen and enjoy the street murals and food. Fellow teammate and Senior Frontend Developer, Carrie Forde, will be at WordCamp Chicago, too.
Carrie is looking forward to supporting Allison at her presentation, but she is also excited about attending “Pixel Imperfect: A Practical Approach To Responsive Design.”
“I saw Michelle Schulp talk at WordCamp Chicago last year, and she’s a great speaker,” says Carrie. But Carrie won’t limit her experience to the classroom only. A seasoned Chicago visitor, Carrie can’t wait to stuff her face with pizza at Lou Malnatis Pizzeria.
If you’re attending WordCamp Chicago, too, don’t miss Allison’s presentation on Saturday, April 29, at 2:30 p.m. on Track 2. And if you happen to see both Allison and Carrie in the halls, at a session, or exploring the city, don’t hesitate to say hi.
