With the holidays fast approaching, our team at WebDevStudios wanted to do something special that got everyone on our team into the holiday spirit, and into the spirit of giving! Each of our teams at WDS has chosen a charity that they cared about and have put their own creative twist on their charitable efforts by turning it into a competition, of sorts, between teams. Instead of WDS donating to one charity as a whole, we’ve made it into a competition between the three teams that make up our amazing group. As for the team that raises the most money? WebDevStudios is contributing $1000.00 to the winning team’s charity!
We have “The A-Team” which consists of — Jaimie Olmstead, Ben Lobaugh, Greg Rickaby, Camden Segal, Damon Cook, Dustin Filippini, Ryan Fugate, Simon Urbina, Chris Reynolds, Michael Beckwith, and Melissa Hoppe.
This team has chosen the Freedom Projectz to gather donations for.
Freedom Projectz is a charity focused on Ugandan youth. It’s devoted to empowering orphaned students to become leaders in their country through higher education, vocational training, and community service. Their goal is to help the students become self-sustaining within five years and break the cycle of poverty through using their professional careers to help others.
Hope. Empower. Sustain.

Next up is “Scream Team” which consists of — Cristina Cannon, Justin Sternberg, Corey Collins, Jay Wood, Marcus Battle, Brad Parbs, Will Schmierer, Suzette Franck, Matt McAchran, Nate Schaumburg, and April Williams.
This team chose the CodeStarter organization to gather donations for.
There are many children across the country that want to learn to code, but do not have the proper tools to do so. Codestarter.org is an awesome non-profit that uses your donations to give free computers to children enrolled in programming classes with one of their partner organizations.
It all starts with a computer.
At Codestarter, they strive to ensure that every child

And last, but certainly not least; we have “Team Maintainn” which consists of — Shayne Sanderson, Patrick Garman, George Mamadashvili, and Rami Abraham.
They have chosen the Electronic Frontier Foundation to gather donations for.
Founded in 1990, EFF champions user privacy, free expression, and innovation through impact litigation, policy analysis, grassroots activism, and technology development. We work to ensure that rights and freedoms are enhanced and protected as our use of technology grows.
Defending your rights in the digital world.

Although this is a competition between the teams; the end goal is simple — to contribute to these three great causes that we at WebDevStudios are passionate about. We are finishing up the donations on December 24th, 2014 at 12:00 PM EST.
Please spread the word on social media and donate to one or all three of the causes — every little bit helps!
