Ever wanted to spend your Halloween in the spooky city of Philadelphia and learn about WordPress at the same time? Saturday, October 30th Philadelphia will be holding it’s first ever WordCamp! The event will be held in Alter Hall, home of the Fox School of Business and Management, on Temple University’s Main Campus. If you aren’t too scared, you should make sure you are at this event!
WebDevStudios is proud to announce that they are gold sponsors for this first-time event. Thanks to the generosity of all the sponsors, attendees will receive a wealth of WordPress information along with their very own WordCamp Philly t-shirt and are invited to join in the afterparty which will include a Halloween costume party with prizes for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place!
As a hauntingly great bonus everyone will be able to learn a little bit more about WordPress from the WDS team. Brad and Brian will be highlighting some of the awesome and lesser known uses of WordPress in their presentation, Spooky WordPress: Disturbingly Brilliant Uses of WP.
Ronald will be speaking about his area of expertise, Using Ajax with WordPress. Ronald will take the fear out of using AJAX discussing how to add scripts properly, do proper page detection, use the correct hooks, secure requests, and how to pass, receive, and parse data.
