The first step is understanding your team’s behavior. This stage will give us the foundation for moving forward and allow us to make recommendations for the development of your project. Our WordPress website strategy process is comprised of three phases:
WordPress Website Strategy & Planning
Don’t make your plans in the dark! WebDevStudios knows WordPress website strategy and planning involves meticulously outlining goals and functionality before the actual development phase. This crucial process ensures a clear website design and functionality roadmap, aligning it precisely with the business objectives and user needs. Without a well-defined strategy and planning, websites risk being disorganized and ineffective. Use WebDevStudios to light the way and make the best choices for your website. Our entire process revolves entirely around your needs and business requirements. We excel at translating your ideas and needs into action and deliver creative solutions that meet, or exceed, your goals.
It is important that we understand your needs and requirements for your project. We accomplish this by conducting an interview with you to identify your goals. This process happens during a series of collaborative meetings with you and our team to collect critical information that helps us move to the next step of defining solutions.
Once we have identified the goals and requirements for your project, we review the key points and provide important technical and functional analysis. At this point, we understand what you need and proceed to answer the question of how we will build it for you using the best solutions, tools and technology, based on our technical experience.
At this point in the process, we have answered the What? and How?, but there are many factors to consider, including budget and time. The specific deliverables for the discovery phase vary by project and we agree on all terms, together, before the project kick-off. Typical items include a high level functional requirements document, a project plan, and a cost proposal for complete system delivery.
Discovery, Strategy, and Planning
The Project Plan document is utilized by our design and development team as a roadmap for project completion. It contains every expectation that you have for your projects and provides a plan that our in-house design and development teams follow. It is basically a document that tells us what we need to build and gives you all of the detail on what you can expect as a final delivery.
Gathering Requirements Through Discovery
The biggest factor in the success of a custom development effort is a clear understanding of the project. WebDevStudios believes in client collaboration and working with you to determine the best plan. The WebDevStudios WordPress website strategy team will create a plan to deliver a great product while working with you to avoid communication problems and agree on issues that impact cost and timeline. Our WordPress agency has defined a process within our project life cycle to ensure this shared understanding.
We call this process: Discovery.
Building on the foundations we created during the Discovery phase of your project, we begin to work through the visual style of your website. Using your branding, we create a look and feel unique to your company and its goals. Websites are tools for people, and our motto is, “People over pixels.” This means that we never design things for ourselves, but instead always put your user and their needs first.
The goal of information architecture is to classify the content in a clear and understandable way and arrange it according to relations between the content pieces, allowing users to find what they need with less effort. Every website or app needs a solid navigation system that helps users find what they need, as well. During the Strategy Phase of your project, we help build a new, or understand the existing, site map for your site to make sure it make sense to users of your website.
Upon successful completion of the Strategy Process, we provide you with a comprehensive document we call the Project Plan. This plan contains all of the requirements, goals and functional/ technical specifications needed to build your project from start to finish. This document captures the high-level details of the project, to include: project vision and scope, user functionality, and basic user stories or detail for expected user tasks, as well as the plan for Quality Assurance and User Acceptance Testing.
We Build Great Things with Great Clients
OUR CLIENTS SAY THE NICEST THINGS
With the world switching to viewing websites on mobile devices, I knew I needed an updated and responsive website, but I was hesitant on getting a new website designed. I thought the process would be confusing and difficult for someone like me who doesn’t have a background in design or coding. Thankfully the WebDevStudios team made the process very easy. Kevin McClelland /The Sports Geek
Thank you to your team for such excellent work. This project was our first project together, but it felt like we were already long time partners. What a fun, professional group of people you have over there. Mark Junkunc /Uber Technologies, Inc.
Lisa, Brad and the entire team at WebDev are friendly, honest, and always bring great solutions to the table. We’ve been really impressed with their development team’s level of professionalism and expertise. They did a great job on building Crime Feed and we’re looking forward to launching more projects with WebDev this year. Jessica Wolfley /Discovery Communications
WebDevStudios grasped our vision and executed on time and on budget. This was a major overhaul, and we hit a few speed bumps, but it was way more smooth of a process opposed to previous relationships with other developers. Everyone we worked with was helpful, friendly, and proactive in communicating with us. They felt like a true partner and not hired help. Ben Koo /The Comeback
