It’s another action-packed weekend with two WordCamp events happening somewhat simultaneously. And two WebDevStudios (WDS) team members will be speaking at each one, offering insight, guidance, and education.
First, there’s WordCamp Ann Arbor, October 13-14, 2017. Lead Backend Developer, Kellen Mace, is donating his time to the Developer Track, as he teaches attendees the best scenarios for using the REST API and a frontend framework like React and how to create a few WP REST API endpoints, including how to leverage those in your first frontend React app. It’s going to be a powerful conversation you won’t want to miss. Catch Kellen’s seminar, “Build a Simple Frontend App Using the WP REST API and React” at WordCamp Ann Arbor this coming Friday, October 13 at 2 p.m. in the Amphitheater.
WordCamp Ann Arbor is a two-day event featuring four exciting tracks: User, Developer, Business, and Designer. So whether you are an entrepreneur learning how to use WordPress for your business website, or a seasoned coder looking to just enhance your current skills, there’s something for everyone. See the full schedule here.
As of the publication of this blog post, there are only 10 tickets left! So hurry up and register. If you can’t make it to this WordPress educational event, then follow WordCamp Ann Arbor’s Twitter stream @WordCampA2 or the hashtag #WCa2.
Next, we have WordCamp Las Vegas happening this weekend, October 14-15. Our very own Backend Developer, Russell Aaron, who has organized the event in the past, is speaking on learning WordPress from the ground up. After 10 years as a WordPress developer, if he had to do it all over again, here’s what he would do differently. Attend Russell’s presentation, “If I Could Relearn WordPress, Here’s What I’d Do,” this Saturday, October 14 at 9 a.m. in the Sands Room.
With two days of sessions and a Happiness Bar available to assist you with your WordPress conundrums, WordCamp Las Vegas is the perfect reason you’ve needed to make that desired trip to Sin City. See the full schedule here. Your ticket purchase even includes lunch!
Can’t make it to WordCamp Las Vegas? Then follow the event’s Twitter stream @LVWordCamp or the hashtag #WCLV. To find out which WordCamp or other conferences WDS will be at, visit our How WDS Gives Back page and scroll down to In a Town Near You.
