It seems like nowadays all we hear about are WordPress acquisitions. It’s enough to make your head spin. If you’re having problems keeping up, our friends at Post Status maintain a running list of WordPress acquisitions and investments.
Of course, there are other things occurring in the WordPress ecosystem. At WebDevStudios (WDS), we have no surprising acquisitions to announce, but we still have some interesting company news to report. Take a look at our latest.
Headless WordPress Webinar
On October 28, 2021, WDS’ team of Headless WordPress experts presented a webinar for Post Status Live called, “The Legend of the Headless Website.”
COO and Co-Founder, Lisa Sabin-Wilson, joined forces with CEO and Co-Founder Brad Williams, Director of Engineering, Greg Rickaby, and Frontend Engineer, Amor Kumar, to educate, inform, and exhibit the benefits of Headless WordPress.
If you missed the chance to watch the webinar live, complete with Halloween costumes, you’re in luck. You can get caught up by watching a recording of the webinar below.
Do the Woo Website Redesign
Have you noticed anything new about Do the Woo? This beloved WooCommerce resource has been redesigned, rebuilt, and rebranded. The cool news is that WebDevStudios was a part of that.
On a recent podcast episode of Do the Woo, BobWP, along with Brad, who was the co-host, interviewed WDS and Maintainn Website Specialist, Christina Workman, for a behind-the-scenes look at the effort that went into this project.
Because BobWP is such a prominent and valuable member of the WordPress community, it truly is a great honor that he trusted our team to deliver his new website. Listen to the interview with Christina at Do the Woo.
WDS Accepting Crypto Payment
Recently, Matt Medeiros published an interview with Lisa in which she revealed that our WordPress agency accepted Ethereum as compensation for a client project. Matt’s convinced that WebDevStudios is the first agency to accept crypto currency, but we’re not entirely sure of the accuracy of that assumption. However, Lisa does believe we have to be among the first. Read Matt’s interview with Lisa at WP Minute.
#WPFriday Twitter Spaces
Brad continues to hold WordPress Twitter Spaces events on Fridays at or near 1:00 pm Eastern. The conversation topics vary from WordPress acquisitions (of course), to events, to Web 3.0.
Everyone is invited to attends these events. Use the hashtag #WPFriday on Twitter to submit a question, comment, or recommend a subject for discussion. Twitter Spaces desktop functions are limited, so we recommend joining via mobile to request to be a speaker and voice your thoughts.
