Lifter LMS
LifterLMS is a powerful learning management system plugin for WordPress, designed to help creators, educators, and businesses build and manage online courses with ease. It provides tools for course creation, student engagement, and revenue generation, making it an ideal choice for those looking to offer structured online learning experiences. When it was time for a redesign of both their Lifter LMS theme and their corporate site, Lifter came to WebDevStudios not only for a redesign of their corporate site, but also for their Lifter LMS theme.
Redesigning the LIfter LMS Website
Lifter came to WebDevStudios with some clear ideas on where they wanted their redesign to go. The new design would embrace the Lifter logo which is a combination of their rocket ship icon and their word mark. Some work had been started by another designer and WDS picked up from there. Their logo conveys upward momentum and power and their word mark emphasizes their brand name, Lifter. So upwards and onwards it was with a feeling of buoyancy, lightness and excitement being part of the design with deliberate homages to traveling in space that were abstract rather than literal.
This project was purely one of design and working with the client to develop a strategy to create a visually appealing and user-friendly interface that allows visitors to easily navigate and find the information they need, ultimately enhancing their experience on the site by making it intuitive and accessible across different devices, while also effectively communicating the brand identity and message.

A New Design
The previous design had a heavy feel to it with dark color blocks and abundant text that dominated the homepage and internal pages. There were a vast number of testimonials, that took up ¾ of the homepage with key features like pricing, a free demo opportunity and other calls to action buried at the bottom of the homepage. Visitors were left feeling like they didn’t know what information was more important. They were unsure of what call to action to take.
The new design reflects an abstract, imaginative nod to space travel, aligning with Lifter’s brand identity and guiding users towards a more engaging experience.
WebDevStudios’ work with Lifter extended beyond their corporate website to designing the Sky Pilot Theme, a highly detailed and robust theme tailored for Lifter’s LMS. WDS created 65 cohesive mockups to support the various learning modules, ensuring a consistent and polished look throughout.
Sky Pilot Theme
