WebDevStudios had the opportunity to work with them on a new site that serves as a portal for potential and new employees to understand the experience of current employees.
Uber Careers
Uber tasked WDS with creating a portal that shares how great it is to work for Uber. We created the website based on designs they gave us, displaying an intricate integration of video and text interview content. WDS provided the Join Uber site with a simple visual grid for visitors to explore the employee experience in different departments–from engineering to product management, and more.
Ambient Video
The Join Uber site has a hero header image that makes use of ambient video, which allows the eye-catching videos to play, but without the intrusive noise that often comes with autoplay.
Multimedia Grid
WDS created a grid that mixes video, static image, and text in an easily digestible and compelling way. This allows Uber to showcase different employee interviews they’ve conducted, no matter what format they decide to use! This grid also allows the admin to have full control, and Uber can add and remove as needed, as well as control the overlay text to display their favorite quotes.
