In its second year, WordCamp Jacksonville takes place May 20-21 at Keiser University. Expect to see WebDevStudios (WDS) there.
Not only is WDS Backend Developer (and resident taco expert), Gary Kovar, an active organizer of this exciting WordPress event, but WDS Client Strategist, Jodie Riccelli, will be presenting on Sunday, May 21.
In her presentation, “Connecting in a Digital World,” Jodie will tackle the challenge of talking about communication in a world where it has become digitally easier to communicate, but harder to be personal. If this is a subject that you find yourself grappling with, and you’re headed to WordCamp Jacksonville, then you cannot miss Jodie’s presentation at 10 a.m., Business track. Lucky attendees will be glad to know that Gary is in charge of food and parties. That means there will be a full-on taco bar on Sunday. Expect insanity to ensue.
While Jodie is certainly eager to sample the taco bar, as well as share her own expertise, she also wants to explore the city. “I have never been to Jacksonville,” she says. “I’m so excited to check out the town and maybe a beach or two.”
Aside from delicious tacos, Gary says that KidsCamp is something those attending WordCamp Jacksonville can look forward to. Parents going to the event can take their offspring with them; and together, they will enjoy a day of parent-child learning led by expert WordPress pros.
