This is the last WebDevStudios (WDS) company news blog post of 2020! Between all of our Five for the Future days, media mentions, CPTUI milestones (our most popular plugin), and surpassing the 8,300 mark of Twitter followers, so much has happened at WDS this year. We’ll follow that claim up with a 2020 year in review blog post, but for now, we just want to share with you what’s been happening in December.

Two Virtual Events, December 16th

We have two big livestreaming events happening tomorrow. Here’s what’s really cool: both events are free! Both also feature WDS COO, Lisa Sabin-Wilson, and Director of Business Development, Jodie Riccelli.

Jodie’s live Q&A event on sales tips and tricks happens first at 3:00 pm Eastern. Hosted by GoDaddy Pro, expect to gain knowledge about building successful client relationships and how that can boost your sales figures. There’s still time to RSVP online here.

Set in an informal setting, Torque Social Hour takes place live tomorrow at 4:45 Central time. Lisa is the featured guest, and you can bet she’ll share stories of her career, including details about the upcoming latest edition of her WordPress for Dummies book. You can find Torque Social Hour on YouTube.

WordPress State of the Word

Once you get lots of inspiration from Lisa and Jodie, prep yourself for more at WordPress’ State of the Word, December 17th at 8:00 a.m. Pacific. This annual keynote address will be delivered by Matt Mullenweg and streamed live on Twitter, Facebook, and YouTube. The deadline to submit questions has already passed, but we highly recommend attending. Whether you are a WordPress developer or user, State of the Word is always chockful of useful information. For more details, read the blog post at WordPress.org.
