Amy Herzog Designs Website Build

Amy needed a customized Storefront theme for WooCommerce that integrated smoothly with all the usual parts of her business. That’s when she contacted WebDevStudios.

We suggested a full redesign for this project followed by a detailed functional requirements documentation to notate the final and approved mock-ups for the site, which would ensure we were capturing all the requirements that came out of the design phase.

“Working with the team was wonderful!” says Amy. “Everyone involved in the project was helpful, efficient, knowledgeable, and did great work–a pure pleasure!”

Custom WooCommerce Design

Custom Design Meets Existing Frameworks

The Amy Herzog redesign was built on top of the WooCommerce Storefront theme. However, because every brand is unique, especially Amy’s, we customized the theme to fit her specific branding, which means that we built out, updated, and changed a large number of the WooCommerce defaults, allowing for design flexibility and a frontend look and feel that did not look like a generic default theme, but instead adhered to the Amy Herzog style standards.

Custom Content Types

The Amy Herzog website was customized to be able to manage and display three custom types of content: Books, Classes and Tutorials. This makes it incredibly easy for Amy to add new books, classes, or tutorials at any time and know that the site will take care of the rest automatically, featuring them in all the right places as soon as they’re published.

Customized Instagram Widget

Working off the current Storefront theme Instagram widget, WebDevStudios customized the tool for the Amy Herzog website, which includes the ability to display Instagram posts according to selected hashtags.  Integration with popular social media is something in which our own team excels!

Branded Login & Single Sign On Experience

Branded Sign-Up and Login Experience

Not only is the Amy Herzog website design customized, but so is the user experience. Amy’s website visitors convert, either by signing up for her services or logging in. Rather than rely on an impersonal user sign-up/login area, custom functionality was created so that Amy’s clients have something special to enjoy.

From logging in to using the tutorials, or accessing the design software, Amy’s users benefit from a seamless user experience.

Single Sign-On (SSO)

Keeping a seamless user experience at the top of priorities, WebDevStudios added an OAuth functionality to provide a single sign-on experience on the company’s sister site: CustomFit.AmyHerzogDesigns.com.

Rather than users having to set up and remember two sets of usernames and passwords, the SSO feature enables them to create a single account on the main site, then use that one set of credentials to log into both the main and CustomFit sites going forward. Easy!
