WordPress Thesis Theme Support and Reference List

Recently we started a project involving the much talked about Thesis WordPress Theme.

Thesis is a powerful WordPress Theme that gives users very flexible tools for customizing your WordPress powered website. With features including custom RSS feed link, customizable navigation menu, and search engine optimization right out of the box, it’s easy to see why Thesis is so popular among WordPress themes.

Thesis can be extended to execute any custom written code needed. With its large array of functions and hooks, you can create virtually any modification to Thesis and WordPress powered websites.

Not only is Thesis a solid WordPress theme, but they also keep their design updated. The most recent update, version 1.3.2, was released on November 13th, 2008. That’s just four days before this post.

Below is a list of very valuable Thesis references and hooks for website developers and designers.

  1. Numerous users have found the use of hooks within Thesis a bit daunting — I know, I’m the primary support provider for its users! — so you might be interested in the Thesis OpenHook plugin, available at my site. It abstracts the hooks into a user-friendly admin panel which has been well-received by all those who have tried it!

Thanks for your support of Thesis! 😀

  2. I have a ton of questions I hope someone can answer:
the reviews of thesis seem to be very favorable. why does it seem that the only place to purchase is through people involved with affliate marketing. nothing wrong with that, but is there an actual thesis site?

Oone of my great frustrations is I want a lot of control and flexibility with my blog design, yet I am clueless with PHP, CSS, etc. I can muddle through some changes, but revamping a site means hiring and relying on a designer (which has been frustrating as well) Thesis seems like a way to get the best of both worlds, i.e. lots of control and flexibility and freedom to self host and make my own changes. Is this right or mainly a fantasy?
