We are very excited to welcome our newest member of the team, Stacy Kvernmo! Stacy comes on board as our newest Front End Designer and today is her first day at WebDev, so wish her well.
Stacy has been a WordPress fanatic since 2009 and hasn’t built a site outside of WordPress since then (with the exception of a Drupal site that she was handed, and then rebuilt it in WordPress!). She has been freelancing full-time since 2009, is an active member of the Aurora WordPress Meetup Group and attends WordCamps every chance she gets.
Stacy’s web design career began in 2002 at a small creative agency which focused on web design and video production. She was originally hired as a print designer, but they needed more help in web, so she began to do both. At the agency, Stacy was in charge of many aspects of designing a website including creating the initial concept, carrying it out in a visual design, converting PSDs to html/css and building out a full html website (at the time when her company didn’t use a CMS). As her skills began to develop, she found herself wanting to learn more. Stacy believes she is a kick ass designer. As she has grown in her profession she has realized she REALLY enjoys the actual development of the site and thinks the problem solving aspect is a fun challenge. She has worked hard to become an expert in both visual design and front-end development. By working in small agencies and then doing freelance, she found that you are forced to wear many hats and uses these skills to make great sites for her clients.
When Stacy isn’t designing and creating sites in WordPress, she enjoys spending time with her beautiful family ( you can learn more about them on her web site at: http://www.kverica.com/) and doing yoga. You can also follow Stacy on Twitter — @funstacy.
Welcome to the team, Stacy!
