October is always a month filled with fun for the WebDevStudios team. Although we fill our days with WordPress development and client care, we also spend time as a team planning for the new year and simply enjoying one another. These activities are not just for fun, but they also reinforce our commitment to collaboration and creativity.
By participating in team events, we build stronger connections, which in turn enhance our ability to work effectively together. This spirit of teamwork and innovative thinking aligns with WebDevStudios’ core values, preparing us to tackle the challenges and opportunities that come our way in the future.
Playful collaboration through these traditions strengthens our ability to innovate and work toward what we reinforce with clients daily at WebDevStudios, “Your Success Is Our Mission.” As we collaborate and create together, we foster an environment where the team can meet our clients’ needs with fresh perspectives and renewed energy.
It’s All Fun and Games Until the Zombies Appear
An eerie growl crackled through the video call, as our cryptic host, JC Palmes, WebDevStudios’ Principal Technical Manager, kicked off a camera-on game of Zombie! The first Zombie statement was delivered, setting the stage for a quick team sync filled with thrilling suspense, where Account Manager Adam Silver emerged as the winner.
Adam credited his win to good old-fashioned observation skills. According to Adam, the real win was team bonding. “The best part was hearing the hilarious and relatable stories that remind me how awesome this team really is,” he explained. Adam’s appreciation for the shared experiences highlights how deeply our company culture values collaboration and connection over competition. For Adam, and many at WebDevStudios, moments of genuine interaction and understanding foster a sense of purpose and unity that prizes alone cannot match.
WebDevStudios Team Challenges Encourage Friendly Competition
Throughout the month, more challenges were had, adding a festive spirit and a little rivalry, too! Though it was a close competition, WebDevStudios team members Jen Miller and Amor Kumar tied in Creepy Crawly Bingo, our lunchtime spooky bingo game! And, Julie Sarnik won for sharing her intricately hand-carved Spiderman pumpkin at our annual Pumpkin Carving Contest.
The month wrapped up with the Annual’ Picture Spooky’ Costume Contest, held on Halloween, a favorite tradition among the WebDevStudios team. Coworkers from multiple departments showed up in costumes of all types: scary, festive, adorable, and everything in between (with the pre-reminder from HR that it must be work-appropriate). This year’s vote majority went to JC Palmes for a terrifying costume and spooky scene (pictured), which you can also admire!
