WDS at WordCamp Grand Rapids 2013

Screenshot_on_8.2.2013_at_11.34.14_AMAdd another WordCamp to the WDS roster! Our very own Brian Richards is co-organizing WordCamp Grand Rapids 2013, with the help of  Chad Warner, Luke Rumley, and Topher DeRosia. This is the second year in a row that Brian is co-organizing this event.

Lisa Sabin-Wilson will be speaking at WordCamp Grand Rapids 2013. She is speaking on the topic of  “Scoping Projects – A Therapy Session For Those Who Do Client Work”.

Description:

Attention to detail in your code and design work is important – but before you lay down one single pixel, or one single line of code, you need to make sure that everyone (you, your client, your clients client, etc) are on the same page and make sure you are managing expectations on what the desired project outcome is.

This 30-40 minute covers hard lessons I’ve learned in a decade of client work – I hope to pass those headaches on to you so you don’t make the same mistakes.

WebDevStudios is excited to announce that we are silver sponsors of WordCamp Grand Rapids! We love WordCamps and know how the people who organize these events rely on the WordPress community for funding these awesome events. We are always happy to help out!

WordCamp Grand Rapids 2013 is being held at the Grand Valley State University and runs from Saturday, August 24th through Sunday, August 25th. To attend WordCamp Grand Rapids, be sure to visit to their registration page. Also, follow @WCGrandRapids and look out for the #WCGR hash tag on twitter to get the latest news!

If you’re attending WordCamp Grand Rapids this year, make sure you stop and say hello to Brian R. and Lisa. They are, as always, excited to reconnect with people they’ve already met and get to know those of you they haven’t met!

  1. Thanks so much for sponsoring and promoting WordCamp Grand Rapids! I enjoyed working with Brian to organize last year’s WordCamp (our first), so I was eager to help again this year. I’m glad that Lisa Sabin-Wilson will be speaking again too.
