This year at WordCamp St. Louis, Brian Messenlehner will be speaking, Sarah Pressler will be volunteering, and Cristina Cannon will be in attendance! WordCamp St. Louis is being held on March, 1st 2014 at the Danforth Campus of Washington University in the Laboratory Sciences Building. You can find Sarah handing out badges and t-shirts and at the Happiness Bar for beginners, while Cristina will be hanging around filling her brain with awesome WordPress knowledge. As for Brian, you can listen to him speak his knowledge about WordPress as an Application Framework (Intermediate). You can find Brian in the User II track at 4:00 PM CST.
A description of Brian’s talk:
Despite starting out as a blogging platform and currently existing primarily as a content management system, WordPress is powerful enough and flexible enough to run any type of web application including hybrid mobile apps. Whether you’re a novice WordPress user or an experienced web developer you can leverage WordPress in many non-traditional ways. We will go over how to rapidly build scalable and secure applications and how to save time and money doing so. We will also showcase some really cool applications and examples of building things with WordPress while thinking out of the box.
Along with presenting and volunteering, WebDevStudios is sponsoring WordCamp St. Louis this year! We love supporting the WordPress community, and sponsoring events is one of our favorite ways to show it!
If you don’t get the chance to speaking with Brian, Sarah, or Cristina during WordCamp hours, you can catch all three of them at the After Party that is happening directly after the WordCamp is over. Brian, Sarah, and Cristina are looking forward to reconnecting with those of you they’ve already had the pleasure of meeting, and are also excited to connect with those of you they haven’t!
We’ll see you there!
