WDS continues to add to its ranks with more amazing developers! Welcome Allison Tarr, our newest team member!
Here’s a little bit more about Allison:
Allison’s first inklings towards web development were as a teenager creating basic sites that may or may not have included boyband fan fiction. In the interim, she has worn many hats: from Merchandise Hostess at Disneyland to Puppet Studio Administrator to Hula Hoop Teacher. She loves the energy that comes with creating something and sharing it with a larger audience.
She is passionate about technology’s ability to connect communities that might not otherwise exist. Allison is looking forward to learning more and using her skills to create engaging and accessible user experiences.
Originally from Southern California, Allison now lives in Toronto’s west end. She enjoys giving back to the coding community as a mentor with Ladies Learning Code, an organization that works towards empowering women & youth to learn new technical skills. When she’s not writing code, you can find her planning a pilgrimage to Dollywood, hula hooping in the park, or reading all the books at the public library.
We have also discovered that Allison supports a passion for guacamole…which is something we can get behind.
