JC is a Principal Technical Manager at WebDevStudios. Her main role is to transform design into code and to make sure that everything looks pretty regardless of media. She works alongside amazing people who create awesome WordPress themes. Her first contact with WordPress was more than a decade ago while working as a writer. But she got bored with just writing, drawing, and illustrating stuff and wanted something more so she decided to learn web development. It was around that time when JC fell in love with WordPress and wanted to give back to the community. She’s the lead organizer of WordCamp Iloilo 2018 and 2019, started the WordPress Iloilo Meetup, and was budget lead of WordCamp Asia. She has contributed to Core, speaks at and holds workshops in local WordCamps, and is a proud supporter of more women and diversity in tech. JC is also very passionate about WordPress, Coffee, Unicorns, Doctor Who and Alice in Wonderland, and collects ball-jointed dolls and dragons. She lives with her husband, Allen, and two teenaged home-schooled kids (Khleomi Helen and Xanth Reign), six dogs, a ball python, and a sulcata tortoise in Iloilo, Philippines.WebDevStudios Day in the Life of a Senior Frontend Engineer
