Richard attended Alexandria Technical & Community College in the 90s, where he was exposed to a “new” technology called the “World Wide Web.” He began building websites as a hobby and occasionally offered his services to small businesses interested in having an online presence. While working for Knight Printing in Fargo, ND, Richard’s employer sent him to evening web design classes at the NDSCS-Fargo Skills and Technology Training Center. Here, he was introduced to MySQL, Perl, and Java, allowing him to build dynamic websites utilizing server-side languages. Richard began building websites powered by WordPress in 2009 and quickly fell in love with its community, simplicity, and user-oriented focus. He has been building with WordPress ever since and loves solving complex problems.
When Richard isn’t buried deep in code, he enjoys spending time with his wife, his kids, and his cat. He drinks a lot of coffee and tea and loves all things Batman.
