Jeffrey de Wit

Principal Engineer
Orlando, FL

Jeffrey is a Principal Engineer at WebDevStudios. He works as part of a team of Backend and Frontend Engineers to help clients such as Campbell’s and Care bring the best out of their websites. He’s also actively involved in working with project teams across the company to further improve the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines compliance of deliverables.

He was born and raised in the wonderful city of the Hague in the Netherlands. His early enthrallment with computers led to programming his first games in QBasic and creating awfully amazing table websites. The enthrallment led to a degree in Communication and Multimedia Design and a deep fascination with accessibility. This also led to his first job developing under strict government accessibility guidelines, loving it, and turning building accessible functionality into second nature.

Now, after reaching the Floridian beaches and not burning to a crisp from direct exposure to the sun, he is putting his skills to good use in ensuring the final product will not only run well and look good but is also usable by anyone. He has since infiltrated/contributes to the Make WordPress Accessible group and WordCamp Orlando organization team. When he’s not coding, you’ll most likely find him playing a video game or watching a movie of some sort—or hanging out with friends.
