Ryan is a Technical Strategist at WebDevStudios. He is responsible for bridging the gap between the sales process and active development by the engineering teams. Through a series of collaborative meetings with our clients, Ryan performs needs assessments and requirements gathering, while researching and developing a comprehensive project plan that will guide the teams to a successful target.
Self-taught, Ryan started working in eCommerce at a map store that provided digital and paper mapping solutions to almost every industry. Throughout the next 18 years, Ryan wore many hats as an eCommerce manager, cartographer, graphic designer, marketer, IT specialist, and many others. Before joining WebDevStudios, Ryan was the senior eCommerce specialist for an online and retail wine and spirits merchant. Having used WordPress sporadically in the past, it was here that he dove head first into a hands-on experience with data planning, UX strategy, and managing integrations.
Outside of work, you can find Ryan hiking in the mountains and foothills of Alberta or sipping beer, wine, or a cocktail at a local watering hole. A lover of wine, Ryan has completed his Level 2 award in wines from the Wine and Spirits Education Trust and plans to complete the full diploma in the future.
